There's little in the way of new footage for us to pour over – hey, Amazon has to preserve most of the mystery – but there's enough in the trailer to glean what might go down in the series' next season. Season 2's official teaser debuted at Comic-Con 2023 on July 22. Watch the trailer below first, if you like, or load up Amazon's main streamer to get your fill. A prequel installment, which takes viewers inside Atom Eve's origins story, is available to watch on Prime Video. Thankfully, we don't have to wait any longer for new Invincible episodes. However, as showrunner Simon Racioppa told TechRadar in March 2022, the Invincible crew have been "working hard" on them for a long time. Invincible seasons 2 and 3 were greenlit in April 2021, so the wait for both entries has been a lengthy one. But it has also taken a long time to learn how to do it and figure it out because we're doing a lot of things that you don't necessarily do in animation." "But we have so many characters and so many settings, even in just one episode that we're really kind of pushing the limits of what can be done in animation. "We're an hour long animated show, which is very unusual," he added. Speaking to Collider, Kirkman revealed why Invincible season 2 – and its sequel, which we'll elaborate on later – have taken so long to develop: the size of its cast (more on this shortly), the Covid-19 pandemic, and pushing the boundaries of its animation.

Season 2 will go on hiatus (albeit briefly) ahead of its final four entries airing in early 2024. The first four episodes will be released weekly until Friday, December 1. That official reveal comes five months after Amazon revealed it would arrive in late 2023.įans shouldn't expect the whole season to drop before the end of the year, though. Invincible season 2 will debut on Prime Video on Friday, November 3. "Where's Invincible season 2, Wil- Oh, never mind." (Image credit: Amazon Studios)
